Graffiti Documentary – Call for Artists
Hello,
I am a student at Columbia University working to create a short documentary/ oral history of graffiti and graffiti artists. If you know of any artists who would be interested in participating in the film, and telling the story of their life as it centers around graffiti, I would appreciate if you could forward this message or respond with their contact information.
Interviews and filming would take place this month with a flexible time commitment. A copy of the doc will be returned to all participants, and they will be invited to attend an official screening in April.

Before any documentary’s are done you must do research. Make sure you know about these writers before you interview anyone who claims to be a so called “writer” everyone wants the fame and glory but not many want to put in the work it takes to be a real writer. With all this internet business going on everyone wants to be a celebrity over night.They do a piece on monday, make a tshirt on Wed and Sat they are already trying to do art shows but not one day in between there did they do any “real” graffiti. As a writer who has been active for more then 10 years and was molded by the legendary Cope2 (The king of graffiti)I take the documentation of this cultire very serious and anyone who has any serious interest in it should as well. Check out sites like Cope2.net also look for writers who have “paid dues” like Tkid170, Ewok5mh,CES,WANE COD,(Just to name a few)if they havent been in this game 10 years or better..in my opinion there story is not important at this stage of there so called graff career. Not many stand the test of time in this game so only the true writers should be heard, not the front runners..
