Diaz is a cool, young, charismatic cat who is representing for the people of the Bronx correctly. After President Barrack Obama appointed his predicessor Adolfo Carrion Jr. to the position of Director of White House Office on Urban Affairs, a special election was held to fill the seat of Bronx Borough President,and on April 21, 2009- Diaz was voted in. His many accolades include his becoming an advocate and organizer for the family of Amadou Diallo, who was killed in the doorway of his South Bronx apartment by 4 NYPD officers who fired 41 unanswered shots at the un-armed man. Among his plans for the future- funding for and realization of a Hip-Hop Museum right in the heart of it all- the Boogie Down Bronx.
