Miami Light Project presents Free Agents-Art Basel 2012

Following a one year studio residency in Chelsea, New York City the Free Agents collective team up with the Miami Light Project to present their debut exhibition – PREMIERE! – a group art exhibition and mural debut during Miami’s Art Basel.

The Free Agents are a collective of autonomous artists from New York City who work out of a shared studio spaces in Chelsea, New York. With roots in urban contemporary art and for many in New York’s graffiti culture, the collective collaborates on exhibitions, public murals, lectures, and workshops. The Free Agents are KET, Klass, Carlos Mare, Alice Mizrachi, Phetus, Queen Andrea, and Ezo Wippler.

Founded in 1989, Miami Light Project is a not-for-profit cultural organization which presents live performances by innovative dance, music and theater artists from around the world; supports the development of new work by South Florida-based artists; and offers educational programs for students of every age.

Premiering new works from artists: KET, Klass, Carlos Mare, Alice Mizrachi, Phetus, Queen Andrea, and Ezo Wippler, the exhibition will feature photography, paintings, sculpture, and a site specific mural installation.

This special event will bring together a wide range of artists, young professionals, patrons from a variety of industries including music, art, fashion, and tech.
